Retired associate professor at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, where she earned her degree and PhD in Computer Engineering. She has served as Vice Dean for International Relations and Dean of the Barcelona School of Informatics (FIB-UPC), as well as co-founder of the Intelligent Data Science and Artificial Intelligence Research Center (IDEAI-UPC). Her research has focused on natural language processing, and she currently continues to collaborate in lifelong learning programs with the UPC School. An active advocate for gender equality in the field of information and communication technologies, she is co-founder of several women-in-computing committees at both the Catalan and Spanish levels, and is a member of the international executive committee of ACM-WE.
